Newfoundland in Pictures

The authors of Lonely Planet noted that the Creator must have been in a good mood when designing Canada. This must have been especially true when the island of Newfoundland was formed. With breathtaking vistas at every turn, words fail to do it justice.

Boasting four unique seasons, the landscape transforms as the months roll by.

With its landscape perpetually changing, Newfoundland seems to have a spirit of its own.

Sssshhh! Let’s keep it a secret!

I’ve been spending August in Newfoundland and Labrador for the past 7 years and am headed back again this year. The other 11 months of the year, I close my eyes and have only to think about being there with the wonderful people and scenery and I am again calm, grateful and peaceful.

    • I’ve only been in Newfoundland a short time, but I fully agree with you. The island does have a certain charm to it. The people and the landscape are awesome!
